– A good online resource is https://lexile.com/ and provides software that can test the reading ability of your text. It puts you in the ballpark for age groups. (A Lexile rating might be nice to include in a cover letter to an editor -mlg)
– Writer’s Digest Children’s Writer’s Word Book aligns with Lexile.
– Way to submit to a new editor to mention Lexile reference. Most people with education are interested in Lexile.
Q: Work for hire
– W4H Is very popular with education publishers.
– Work for Hire does count as a publisher’s credit.

– Establish contacts through writing conferences
– Being in a critique group with authors of different skill levels.
– Knowing other people in the craft. Know someone who knows somebody.
– In writing communities you can find fellow writers who share the same interest. Pay it forward.
Q: How to find publishers who of education books.
– Go to authors sites who write the type of books you write. See who their publishers are. Look up that publisher’s website for submission guidelines.
Q: What is your system for writing nonfiction?
– Book reading A to Z.
– Get an assignment and start reading about the topic. Read about the person, era, and other related information. He will create scratch files and create bullet points on a list of interesting things learned during research. (Save your resources later for documentation)
– Create an outline.
– Editors will respond with their notes.
– Editors will often have access to an expert on a topic that the book is about.

– Write items in a notebook and mail it to a family member

– He met with the Book of Mormon central.
– He raised money to have BYU processors FARMS and five of heartland researcher FIRMS. Farms believe BofM in Central America. FIRMS believe the BofM happened in the heartland of America. The group included 30 from church headquarters who are involved with the scriptures, Book of Mormon videos. To meet with those of foundations plus. He wanted them to get together to address the contention between groups. The compiled group agreed to first see the evidence provided by the FIRMS people in the heartland of the US then have the group go down to Central America and see the evidence there on the Book Of Mormon. Hope to have them work together.
– Had a meeting to address concerns. At the meeting, he asked, why did you spend your life promoting the Book of Mormon? Both groups of contention talked about what they loved about the BofM. Two leaders of opposing sides hugged and apologized.
– They signed a contract of civility and truth. Rod of FIRM took down negative articles from his site.
– Some say DNA proves the Book of Mormon wrong.
– Met with Urgo the guy who wrote the article that said DNA wasn’t conclusive.
– Had a conference in Jan we want to address the hard question. Had 70 people come to visit the US site. Did not get permission got certain BYU professors to take the group central America.
– We asked the researcher about Joseph Smith’s paper and find out about why joseph Smith supported the Mesoamerica. Instead of finding info on the article, they trashed Joseph Smith. In the article, the scholar quoted anti-Mormon material. The Book of Mormon quote came from enemies of the gospel.

– Agreed to pull the best articles for any source. The commitment did not last very long. Certain ones pulled out from the civility contract.

Wedging stones between each other to create a curving dome entrance-way looks so cool. There are two words in architecture. Thus remember ARCH – IT- ecture.
