Here are some notes from a church conference or meeting. Any misinformation is the fault of the note taker.

– Abide with me means to stay with me. Elder Holland says, in Spanish the word means to remain and to stay. It means to come with conviction and with endurance.
– Spencer w Kimball: I find that when I get council with my relationship with divinity and no divine voice is speaking. If I immerse myself in the scriptures the closeness returns.
– If there is a separation between you and God. God is not the one who moved.
– Our relationship with God is essential. We will always be his children. (Paraphrased)
– Do we trust in God enough to abide with him?
– Sister Merritt; we came to earth to learn and grow. The most useful way is our convenient with God (paraphrased)
– The priesthood was restored so we could have the power of God.
– There was a lot of effort to bring us to earth. Why was all the effort done? Those preparations allow us to head toward eternal life.
– Sister Merriet: we can lose our trust in God when life leads us to distraction instead. (Paraphrase)
– When we face challenges, stay focused and seek God.
– What things that matter to you is illustrated by how you spend your time.
– How to do things God’s way: Sacrifice your agenda so God can direct your life to his plan.
