Tools to help with your stress:
Circle of control: worried about kids, politics, health, money, friends, coworkers, jobs, weather. > You can’t control
Circle of influence: (have some situations as a circle of control) family, spouses, neighbors, work
Circle of direct: Think what we believe and what we are going to do about it.
Path of meaning:
– Evet: they behave
– I observer
– I conclude
– I feel
– I behave
It’s your belief that will define the outcome.
– Many people will feel relief when a loved one dies because they are not in pain anymore.
– Being mindfulness: based on Buddhist theory.
– Being focused on your here now.
– Whenever you worry you are no longer in the here and now.
– Catch yourself when sorry> you are not worried about the now; you are worried about what will happen.
– When an event is past you ask? I don’t know what I was so worried.
– You need to plan where you are going.
– Right now we are at our most powerful.
– yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift; that is why we call it the present” Eleanor Roosevelt.
– 4% of the things we worry about happen 95% never does
– Be optimistic!
– Too much realism can be hazardous to your health.
– Tell yourself a good story.
– Don’t believe everything you think. Dialogs in your head are not accurate.
– Start with what’s right so you have the energy to fix what’s wrong.
– Some will keep positive comments in a file to reference if you’re down.
– Optimism – be grateful
