Fewer is used for things you can count

Less is things you can’t count

I’m trying to think of a mnemonic to remember this. We’ll see if this works. Less has two SS and that can mean getting Some more and Some more. And thus it’s hard to keep count of how many you have thus you have less.  We’ll see if that will work.
