Drop The Rush Habit and Savor Every Moment

Why are we engaging in the habit of rushing?

  • Make a list of when you rush: the American culture of where you live, your friends
  • Our environment may make us feel fright and go into flight or fight mode.
  • We experience a mindset of unsafety.
  • The pandemic, finances, family issues, your health.
  • We may have a feel of failure.
  • We have a fear of criticism.
  • You may need more support from family, partner or therapy. meditation, mindfulness practices. going into nature. Find a way for self-care.
  • Go by day by day to support self, and family.
  • Are you experiencing racism, phobia, or structural suppression?
  • We live in a world that is stressful.

 

Can we drop the habit of rushing?

  • Once we realize we have support from self, family, or therapy we can drop the rush habit.
  • We savor particular moments throughout the day?
  • Even when there is a storm in our life, seek moments of groundness or rootyness.
  • You might take a moment to savor moments of pleasure such as a drink of tea. Savor its smell, warmth, and taste.
  • Telling our self you are a procrastinate is a form of self-sabotage.
  • Think of appreciation for the different things that help you throughout the day. a useful pen, or other tools.
  • Look out the windows and notice trees and beauty.
