- You don’t have an eye for your own mistakes. Even editors need editors

- AI-written books often don’t make sense and authors who created it don’t look at it. that can be risky.
- Software is doing a lot of editing.
- Amazon is trying to flag ai book.
- Bot software will modify your text you typed in and make better descriptions and good grammar.
- Ai for fiction will keep you writing in your own voice. It makes subplots.
Q: the difference between developmental context, copyediting, and proofreading.
- Make sure your editor and you agree on editing terms.
- Stage 1. Developed content copy and proofing. There is an edit for each.
- Developing: Big picture. Make sure all is structured, the plot in the right place does the lot make sense. Is the hero journey working, plot holes
- Content: flow little picture look at the content already there. Syntax, tenses, voice
- Copy/line editing: grammar, syntax, flow
- Proofreading: catch what is missed.
- A book will be 85-95 error-free from traditional publishing
- As you write, more the rounds may not be as intense. The software helps fix mistakes it gets easier.
- Need two sets of human eyes besides your own.
- Bots can fix plot holes.
Q: three biggest editing mistakes.
- Double spacing between sentences. Single space between sentences.
- Dialog tags. Start a new line when a new character is speaking. Punctuation goes inside the quotes
- Using text speaks and gets all caps for emphasis. For the industry is italics for emphasis.
Q: Final advice?
- There is a high number of books. Really focus on quality. It helps you rise to the top.
- Get as many readers as possible.
