- We begin by finding our sense of grounding. feel the sensations of your body. sitting in the chair, feet on the floor etc.
- Bring the mind to focus by touching different points of the body and sense where you might be holding tension in the body and those areas concatenate relaxing those parts.
- Start at the top of your head to different parts of the face. see if you can bring a sense of relaxation.
- Move to the neck and shoulders and concentrate on relaxation.
- Go down your back.
- Come around to the front of your body and concentrate on the body to see if there is a tightness in the chest. see if you can allow tightness to dissipate. envision steam of stress rising from the body.
- Move down to the belly to the hips, thighs,
- Progress down to the lower legs and feet.
- Take a moment to breathe coming in and out.
- Now having relaxed minds and bodies. we might approach life’s stresses with a set of fresh eyes. is there something you have not noticed before that could provide solutions?
- Is there one step or the first move ahead in a particular circumstance?
