These are notes from a church.
– A good sturdy rope is made of many little strands. Everything in the church is twined together. All unified to the Lord’s work.
– Ephesians 1:10 Gather all things in Christ.
– John 14:6: gather all things in Christ.
– Elder Bednar says all changes have a purpose. All are based to center our objectives. Two objectives:
– Facilitate conversion to the Lord (I think, bad typing here) 2. Love more completely and server more effectively our brothers and sisters.
– There is a story of an old man helping a youth pay fare for a bus. The youth is grateful and sits by the old man. He asks for some water. The old man removed his gloves and the lad sees he is a leper and leaves the bus in anger, feeling the leaper tricked him. As a result, he has to walk to his destination.
– The church no longer has checklists anymore, instead, we should follow our brothers and sisters serve and love our brother sisters.
– We should rely upon the spirit.
– You want to visit because you love others not to check off a list.
– We are being asked to incorporate the various components of the church and gospel to be a part of our lives.
– Every single stitch we put into the church makes a complete
– In our tapestries, not all stitches are bright and shiny. We are not perfect.
– The house of Israel is not perfect and God keeps working on them for their opportunity to obtain their promised blessings.
– To show that things are added upon where one event prepares us for a future event.
– 1978: build up stakes where you are >, President Kimball. More temples are coming.
