I gathered some suggestions on what to be careful of, when buying car on line. I thought I’d share my notes with you.
– Be careful of buyers out of state
– Be careful where they put more money in PayPal and they ask to get part of it back.
– Ask questions and get specifics can motivate people to run. They use Google phone numbers.
– Anything that says like this you’ll get xx is usually a scam.
– Put in add = no out of state sales.
– The price of eBay doesn’t mean that’s what item is sold for.
– Get a fax history on the car. I heard once that cars damaged in Hurricane Sandy were cleaned up and resold in other parts of the country. That may not be true, but having a fax history is valuable.
